Peppa Pig has been in my life for the best part of five years…lucky me! But to be honest while it can be a bit annoying when you are watching the same episode for the hundredth time, my girls have loved it over the years and it has brought them a lot of happiness. Which makes me happy!
Holly is at the height of loving Peppa Pig, she watches it on television and her Peppa Pig toys are her favourite to play with. She will sit for hours. When we received our Peppa Pig summer bundle I knew my Peppa Pig fan was going to be very excited.
With the mixed weather we’ve been having at the moment, I was grateful to see there were some toys that she could play with inside.
The Peppa Pig House Tea Party Set has been a big hit. It’s really bright and colourful and making people cups of tea has to be one of Holly’s favourite things to do.
RRP £17.99 – available Smyths and Debenhams
What we didn’t realise straight away was that if you pressed the door it lit up and sang the bing bong song. Lucky me! It does have a really great feature though, when you pour it to make a cup of tea it makes the noise of water actually pouring. Holly loves it.
We also received the Peppa Pig Classroom set, this is a great addition to Holly’s collection as she loves Madame Gazelle. It comes with two sets of desks and seats, a black board, Peppa Pig, Suzy Sheep, Danny Dog, Candy Cat and of course Madame Gazelle herself.
RRP £12.99 – available Argos and Toys R Us
I was really pleased to see 5 characters included as quite often with sets like this you only get 1, which means you can’t play with it as well and end up having to buy more. I loved the attention to detail on both the desks and the blackboard.
Holly just loves her ABC Singing Peppa. It took her a while to work out how to make it work. On each of her palms is a silver circle and you have to touch both of these at the same time and keep touching them. The minute you let go, it stops.
RRP £19.99 – available Argos and Toys R Us
The girls have been walking around with Peppa in between them, holding a hand each singing along.
Thankfully we have had some sunny days and been able to get out into the garden. Since we moved house, we had to sell our trampoline and the girls ask about it all the time. Mummy guilt right there! You can imagine how happy Holly was to see a Peppa Pig Trampoline in the garden.
RRP £39.99 – available Amazon
The only thing I will say is thank god she loves it, because it was not easy to build. I spent 2 hours trying to do it and failed. I then tried again with Andy and by ignoring the instructions and following what was logical, we managed to put it up.
When you bounce on it, it makes an oink sound. There is a sound box underneath that you can turn off or maybe just never put the batteries in it!
Another hit which could be used both indoors and outdoors is the Radio Control Inflatable Peppa Pig.
RRP £24.99 – available Toys R Us
You just blow it up, pop the batteries in and away she goes. The remote control is really easy to use, it has a forwards or backwards option and a round and round option. It works just as well indoors on carpet too.
I never thought I would be thankful for Peppa Pig, but this summer I am. These toys have kept the girls entertained on rainy days and we’ve been stuck indoors. And on the few days we’ve made it into the garden, they’ve been happily playing while I try and take five minutes with a coffee on my sun lounger. Thanks Peppa!
