If you’re a regular reader of my blog you will know that we moved into our house just over a year ago and we’re slowing making it a home that we love. I love interiors and spend hours looking for inspiration and finding the right things for each room.
I love the final part of doing a room and finding all the accessories that bring the room together and finish it off. Andy doesn’t get it, but he always agrees that the room looks better once they are in place.
One shop that I love and I have brought from before is Red Candy and they recently got in touch to ask if I wanted to take a look at their new products for the spring. Which of course I quickly said yes to.
There are practical items that we need in our homes and they might not always be the most stylish. I’ve been desperate to find a bin that would look right in our bedroom and I just haven’t found the right one. Until now! Red Candy have this lovely Umbra woodrow waste bin in charcoal, that is the right colour, the perfect size and is actually stylish. Who knew one actually existed, I love it!
Umbra Woodrow Waste Bin RRP £20
I love the natural wood interior and the handle makes it easy to empty. It fits in perfectly with my bedroom decor and it doesn’t look out of place.
Holly loves bananas and eats them everyday. Alice likes most fruit and is always asking for fruit when she gets home from school and has had a snack. I like to have a fruit bowl in a place that the girls can get to it, as I found when they were younger this encouraged them to eat fruit. Whilst they are now older and I don’t have to worry as much, it’s a habit that they are used to and not one that I want to discourage.
With us changing the furniture in our family room/dining room, I wanted to get a fruit bowl that matched. I was delighted to see the Linea Fruit Bowl in gold, it was a perfect match.
Linea Fruit Bowl RRP £15.99
It’s a lot bigger than I was expecting which is a bonus for me, as it means that the bananas actually fit in the bowl. I love how it fits in with the things on the unit and the fruit add a nice bit of colour.
By the sofa in the family area we have a small table, and I’ve been slowly finding lots of lovely items to add to it. I really wanted a plant to add some colour and this Coy Plant Pot in a stand looks lovely sat on there.
Coy Plant Pot RRP £9.50
I brought a pretty pink plant to sit inside and I’m really pleased with it. The stand makes it stand out more and it looks more stylish than just having a plant pot sat on there. Let’s be honest you can’t have too many plants in your home.
I love adding all these touches to our home, it really makes a difference and it’s my favourite part of doing each room. When you find something that would be perfect for a room or a space it makes me very excited (Andy would probably say too excited!).
Disclosure: We were kindly our products from Red Candy in return for an honest review. All views, opinions and photos are my own.
