I’ve recently been redecorating both the girls rooms. Alice’s is nearly finished and I’m now at the stage of adding all the accessories, which is my favourite part of styling a room. I spend hours looking and finding the right things for their rooms.
One way that I love to style a room and I think adds personality and character to a room is by adding prints to a room. There are lots of different ways you can do this too.
I was recently contacted by Small Bob, a relativity new brand that offers gorgeous gift sets to new parents. It also does gorgeous prints for children’s bedrooms and they had a couple of prints that fitted perfectly with the colours and theme of Alice’s room.
Alice’s room has some shelves, that I’m slowly filling with lots of little quirky accessories to bring some life to the room and the wall. One way to do this is by adding a print to the shelf. It’s a really simple, but effective way of adding some character and style to it.
I adored this ice cream print the minute I saw it. The colour was a perfect match and what you will notice with Small Bob prints is their trademark eyes within the prints. I think this really adds a fun and playful feel to the print.
On the other side of Alice’s room, the wall is wallpapered and originally I thought I was going to get a large print to go above her chest of draws. But when I looked at it, because the pattern of the wallpaper and the colour makes quite a statement, I think any print is going to get lost on the wall.
Instead I felt it looked a lot better with the frame sat on the dressing table. I’ve done this a lot around the house, placing the frames on the furniture and I really like the look it gives. It’s another great way to style a room.
I love the cuteness of this cloud print and again the colour really compliments Alice’s room.
I’m really pleased with our prints, they’ve made such a difference to Alice’s room already and both the quality of the prints and paper is of a high standard.
You can find all of the prints Small Bob has available and their gorgeous gift sets too, over on their website.
