Silence, Making Plans and Easter Fun…#LittleLoves

Silence, Making Plans and Easter Fun…#LittleLoves

This week has been a strange one, I always find it hard to get back into the swing of things after the school holidays. Even though half term was only a week, I love the slowness it brings and I never want it to end.

It’s been back to normal for us all this week and I even managed to get my hair done.

I’ve not done much reading this week. I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather and instead of going to bed to read, I’ve gone straight to sleep. Waking up with an unopened book next to me. I clearly needed the sleep.

I watched The Brit Awards this week. My husband always laughs at me, as most of the time I have no idea who anyone is anymore. Another sign I’m getting old. But I still love to watch it, see what people are wearing and listen to the music.

Silence! After half term last week, it takes a while for me to get used to the silence I get 2 days a week when Holly is at preschool. But I really needed it. I’m definitely a gemini, where I do love the company of other people, the loudness of being out and about. But I also really love the calmness, the silence and being at home.

We made plans for the Easter holidays. As we’re Merlin Ambassadors this year we’re heading to Alton Towers and I can’t wait. We decided to stay at the Enchanted Village and the lodges look really cute. We will go to splash landing and then the following day explore Alton Towers and CBeebiesland. Andy and I haven’t been since we’ve had the girls and we can’t wait to take them. They are going to love it, as are we!

At the start of the winter I brought a new coat and I love it. It’s been the best purchase I’ve made and has kept me warm during these cold months and during my visit to Scotland. But I’ll be honest with you I’m ready to hang it up in the wardrobe now and I really wish spring would hurry up.

This week has been really cold again and I got out my mustard snood, as I was freezing. I do love the pop of colour that it adds to an otherwise plain (but very warm!) coat.

And Lastly…

We’ve got a fairly quiet weekend planned. Andy is off to the football on Saturday and the girls and I are going to see my sister in law and niece. Not sure what we’re going to be doing yet, but the girls will have lots of fun I know that much.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Ahhh, getting your hair done is the ultimate treat. I’ve managed it once or twice a year since my son was born and it always gives me an instant lift.

I wouldn’t hang your coat up just yet, sounds like it’s going to be absolutely freezing next week! Love your mustard snood! I always wanted to visit Cbeebies land, but lived abroad and now my little one isn’t into Cbeebies anymore! Have a great weekend! x

Oh it’s tough getting back to the routines isn’t it? I always have the same feeling. Once I am
In it and it feels bad on track we have another half term. Hahaha don’t put the coats away just yet. We got snow today and lower temps coming eeek. #littleloves

Oh my goodness, you are going to have THE BEST time at Alton Towers. It’s amazing for little ones now they have cBeebies land. I know what you mean about the silence, my two have gone back today and it’s so quiet around here!

Ah I love the Brit Awards, and I haven been to Alton Towers for such a long time, and do you know the boys have never been! Those tulips are just amazing ! so pretty x

  7. Hope you’re feeling better than you have been – there are so many bugs around at the moment. Your plans for the Easter holidays sound fun! I hate it when my girls go back to school after half term too – I’d have them at home with me forever if I could 🙂

I didn’t watch The Brits this year, doesn’t really interest me anymore. I hope Dua Lipa won some awards though! Your plans for Easter sound fun, we took an adults only trip to Alton Towers last year and loved it – fast passes all the way! Enjoy the rest of your week xx

It’s so cold isn’t it? I can’t go out without a full length coat at the moment, I don’t think any of us will be putting them away for a while! I always watch The Brits but didn’t really enjoy it much this year, some very odd acts! I’ve never been to Alton Towers – hope it warms up! xx

I’ve never actually been to Alton Towers, something has always happened when I had a trip planned! I would love to take the kids though so will be interested to see how you get on.
