Welcome to this week’s #SharingtheBlogLove showcase, where I’m sharing with you my favourite posts from last week. It’s our way to give these posts some extra love and if you missed them it would be great if you picked one to go and comment on.
Five Little Doves
I’ve seen from my own experiences of friends when step parents and families come together and work well, putting the child/children first. And I’ve seen the opposite and the sad affect it has on the children involved. Laura shares a very personal, honest and beautiful letter to her son’s step mum. It had me in tears and I think that both sets of parents have done a wonderful job at creating 2 loving families for Lewis. I hope that the post has made it’s way to his step mum to read for herself.
The Ladybird Adventures
My girls and I love to read and I’m definitely raising 2 little book worms which I love. Getting book recommendations is brilliant and I loved so many that Claire shared with us in her post, Children’s Books We loved In February. There are some beautiful illustrated books in her list, lovely bright and colourful pictures which are great for children. Pop over for a read if you are looking for book recommendations.
Oh Little One Sweet
Buying presents for children it can be difficult to find new ideas and I loved Ameila’s post, Gift Ideas for 5-7 years old. Alice is 5 years old and with her 6th birthday fast approaching there were a couple of ideas that she would love. The globe is a great idea, she is talking about continents and the world a lot at school and this would be ideal for her.
The Queen Of Collage
Believe it or not, but spring is meant to be here. Even if we do keep getting snow! This is a lovely craft idea for children to make this spring and with the Easter holidays nearly here, a perfect opportunity to make a spring wreath. I love the little nest idea, it is really cute.
If you missed any of these, then please do pop over and give them some love.
