Sharing The Blog Love Showcase…#47

Welcome to this week’s #SharingtheBlogLove Showcase post, where I share with you my favourite posts from last week. Katy is also sharing her favourites over on her blog too, make sure you pop over and take a look. Katy is taking a little break from hosting #SharingtheBlogLove while she has her baby.

Five Little Doves

I love writing letters to my girls on their birthdays and I adore reading other’s peoples too. I find them the most heartfelt and beautiful posts. Where the love just pours out onto the page. Laura’s letter to her daughter was all this and more, For Meggy, On Your Fourth Birthday. Laura always writes so openly and honestly about her children and it makes you love them even more. A beautiful post for a beautiful little girl.

Little Milk Days

It seems like the whole country was feeling the same after the events in Manchester. And I know a lot of people including myself are struggling to understand it and it’s constantly on our minds. But, we also know that we have to live on and show our children that life is worth living and Lisa does this in her post, Sunshine and Happiness. You can’t beat a trip to the beach to bring some happiness and we also did the same last weekend and it felt good.

With summer on it’s way (fingers crossed) and holiday season too. I loved reading this post, Ten Years Of Holidays, looking back at all her holidays and the wonderful times. I love that behind every picture is a memory, a story and that is why we take photos to remember.

Dad’s Turn

When you become a parent, suddenly strangers want to talk to you. This is a great post, Conversation Starters; Why Babies Are Like Dogs. I definitely find that when I’m with my girls I’m better at small talk and chatting about the girls. They are my armour. It continues when they start school and you are stood in the playground. Your child will make friends before you and then you start chatting to their parent.

If you missed any of these posts last week it would be great if you pop over and give one post some extra love…

Loved the posts I’d already read. So true on kids being a conversation starter. There are still parents whose name I don’t know despite me talking to them at swimming each week for the last 2 years!

    Loved these!
Laura’s post was so touching it made me cry! No more Hallmark cards for this mom!
I could literally live in my car if it was close to a beach I love it so much…
Every holiday is my favorite-and this post reminded me that I need a new camera!
Finally, it’s SO true that its so much easier to open up to people when you share a common interest (kids)!!!
