Rug Doctor It’s More Than Just A Carpet Cleaner…

Rug Doctor It’s More Than Just A Carpet Cleaner…

We moved house just over a year ago and to say I love our home is an understatement. I still get that excited feeling when we’ve been away and are on our way home. Because as much as I love to have a little get away, who doesn’t, I also just love being at home.

We’ve been slowly making it ours, saving hard and changing each room as we can. At the moment we’re in the middle of doing both our bedroom and the family area/dining room. Interiors is one of my passions and I love finding the perfect trinket, wall art or light for a room.

Our lounge is nearly finished and the only thing that I would love to change is the sofas, but that will have to wait for a little while. They came from our old home and whilst they match and fit ok in the room, they are marked and have a lived in feel to them.

We were recently sent from Rug Doctor their Deep Carpet Cleaner. Now this excites me on so many levels. I love a clean house and now I can step it up a gear.

I was really keen to see if it could breath new life into our sofa’s and that’s one thing that I really love about the Rug Doctor machine, is that it’s not just for carpets. Oh how I wish I knew this information before. It can clean fabrics, upholstery and car interiors too.

Another real plus point for me (and my marriage!) is that it came ready built, there was no reading instructions and shouting at Andy required to put in together. We just lifted it out of the box and it was ready to go.

Everything on the machine is clearly labelled and its very intuitive to use and I couldn’t wait to try it out on our sofas. With the water tank filled up with warm tap water and the upholstery cleaning fluid added to the water, we were ready to start.

We had a water mark on our sofa and I was keen to see if it was able to make it less visible or even better make it disappear. You can see the results in the video and it’s completely gone.

It was then time to test it out on Holly’s mattress. Her mattress has probably had the most ‘accidents’ and I couldn’t wait to give it a good clean.

Again, it did a great job on her mattress and there is no better feeling than to know something is clean.

I’ve made a short video for you to see it in action…

The Rug Doctor Deep Carpet Cleaner RRP is £299.99 and is available to buy from Rug Doctor.

We’re really pleased with the Rug Doctor. Not only is it incredibly easy to use, it gets great results too. Next on my list is to tackle my car with it!

Disclosure: We were kindly sent our Rug Doctor for the purpose of this post and I was compensated for my time. All views, opinions, photos and video are my own.

How have I never heard about the rug doctor?! The results were amazing! I’m so pleased it lifted all those tough stains!

It looks so easy to use! We have wooden floor in most of our flat, but I’d get it for the mattress cleaning in a heartbeat as like you say, nothing better than a clean feeling!

I always thought these were just to hire, but this looks great. We have a George in the loft and one of Mr Jones’ jobs on the list is to shampoo all the carpets this spring. Poppy was a really sicky baby and I’m not sure babywipes or a cloth every cleaned it properly so it could use deep clean! Mr J cleaned Ella’s mattress a few months back as she’d wet the bed ages ago and it had stained it and it made such a different! Glad it worked so well for you and sure it’ll come in handy again!

I have never tried a Rug Doctor but reading this I really want to try it out now. I think it would be great. Having a 4 year old is really really hard on the carpets!

I’d never even have thought of using a Rug Dr for cleaning the sofa! Mine is frankly more mucky than I care to admit to, this is a genius idea! I’m going to look into this, you might have just saved me the cost of a new sofa Laura! Great review

Oh my gosh, I had no idea you could do other things with them as well!! We are just in the process of buying a house, and I have contemplated buying something similar for our new home, this sounds great! 🙂

If you can clean carpets and mattresses really deeply then they are only going to last longer. Great idea.

Our sofas are awful but until Kipper gets out of the toddler stage I can’t see the point in replacing them. I love that it comes pre made as such and is so simple to use. I may have to invest in one of these for when we start potty training. Espically since our pre kid carpet choice wasn’t the best and we are hoping to put our house on the market in the next couple of months x

Oh WOW I could do with the Rug Doctor in my life! Our sitting room rug and furniture has seen better days and I’m struggling to get them clean. Fab review & video lovely!

We have a very similar carpet cleaner and I couldn’t live without it! I’m also a bit weird because I really enjoy using it and seeing the dirt being sucked up! It’s perfect for us as we moved into a rental and we used it on all of the carpets and they came up like new again.

Ooo this looks really fun, I would love to have a go. Some patches on my sofas really need some attention, but not as badly as our carpets. I meant to have them cleaned after we moved in, 2 years later they are a state

Oh my god… you won me at cleabing sofas! I just put all our covers through the wash and getting them back on is painstaking! Also, the arms don’t come off so they jusy kind of stay looking a different colour. I’d love to try this too on the stains that are on zach’s carpet! It looks like a great product 🙂

Oh wow this looks AMAZING!! With four kids and a dog I think we need a Rug Doctor in our lives, the dog was actually sick on the couch this afternoon so I could have done with this, haha! It looks fab and your house always looks pristine!

The Rug Doctor has updated quite a lot since I last saw it and I had no idea you could do bed mattresses with it, that woudl be superb here as I have one with bed wetting problems. Thanks, Mich x
