Who doesn’t love How To Train Your Dragon the films? We were recently sent a Hatching Egg, where we could train our very own baby Toothless. The girls were very excited and couldn’t wait to get hatching!
The egg is big and to start the hatching process you unlock it at the bottom of the egg. The egg will start to make sounds and you have to play with it whilst its in the egg to encourage it to hatch. If you leave the egg alone the dragon will fall asleep. To wake it back up, hold the bottom of the egg.
If you turn the egg upside down you will make the dragon angry. Tilt the egg upside down and right side to play with it. The dragon can tap on the inside of the egg to communicate to you. Tap the egg and he will tap back.
It starts to light up! Once you hear the egg begin to crack, hold it upright to help him hatch.
If you’re familiar with Hatchimals, it hatches in a very similar way. Alice was SO excited when toothless hatched.
With Toothless hatched it was time to train him.
Underneath the dragon turn dial to 1 for autonomous mode and start playing. Start by placing your hand on his head to bond.
Hold his belly to charge up his plasma blast, release to blast. His mouth will glow when charging and blasting.
Teach him to fly by picking him up and moving him in an S shape. He will flap his wings and make flying sounds when you do this motion and lift him high in the sky.
Shake him, hold him upside down and or tap his head to annoy him. He will repose with lights and angry sounds.
Time to feed your dragon. It comes with a fish accessory and you have to hold it up to his mouth. Making contact with the 3 scales on the side.
Watch out he likes to burp and this makes the girls laugh a lot!
Lay him on his side to put him to sleep and you’ll hear him snore.
Holly wanted to sleep with him.
He also plays games, if you turn the dial underneath to 2. He will do an action and you then have to give the correct command as fast as you can. For example, he moves his head side to side and you have to tap his head sensors.
It was good fun!
