Review: ExoLens…

Review: ExoLens…

Last month I headed to my first blogging event and I didn’t start small. I went to the biggest parenting conference in the UK, BritMums Live, known as BML16. I was extremely nervous, but I was also excited to meet lots of lovely bloggers, people that understand the wonderful world of blogging.

During the day Stevie, Donna and I headed over to Brand Hub to take a look around. There were lots of great brands for us all to meet and whilst Donna was chatting away, Stevie and I took a look at the Fellowes stand. Whilst everyone else at the stand were asking to get ‘To Do Lists’ laminated and Stevie wanted one of their storage boxes (yes, she then carried it around!). I spotted on the stand the ExoLens and the lovely ladies on the stand gave me a demonstration. They went on to ask if I would like to review one on my blog and I was thrilled.

Since then I have been getting used to the different lens it comes with and taking lots of photos of my girls. Ok, I take a lot of photos anyway, but I have taken even more!

So, what is the ExoLens?

It is a dual-layer protective case, that you pop your iPhone into and then you have four different lens that you attach to the camera on your iPhone.

The four interchangeable, Photo-Enhancing Lenses are:

  • 2-in-1 Wide-Angle and Macro 13x Lens
  • Telephoto Lens
  • Polarizing Filter

It also includes a Lens caps, Lens case and a wrist leash.

At the moment Holly is at the age where if you say to her ‘photo Holly’, she looks at you with the cheesiest smile yelling ‘cheese’. Now, whilst this is cute, it also means that all my photos look the same and they are not very natural. Using the ExoLens I have been able to get some lovely shots without the girls knowing I am even taking them.

And those action shot photos that you really want to capture, but they sometimes come out blurry or wobbly around the edges. Not anymore with the ExoLens I have taken some great shots of Alice on the trampoline and whizzing past me on her scooter.

The lens are really easy to just clip on to the case and you turn it slightly to secure it on. Yes, you are not going to capture those random moments, unless you are luckily enough to have it already attached when it happens. But, when you know you are going to be taking photos, you can be prepared.

I have loved using the ExoLens, here are a few of the photos I have taken using it…

I would never have these next shots without the ExoLens, as the girls did not know I was clicking away…

Some great action shots…

I haven’t edited any of the photos, so you can see the true results.

If you are looking to improve your photograph and have an iPhone, then the ExoLens really is a good option to enhance the iPhone camera.

You can also purchase the ExoLens with just two lens and both are available from Amazon and you can find them here.

I have loved trying out the ExoLens and it is definitely going to be coming on days out with us in the future to capture some more great photos

Disclosure: I received the ExoLens in return for an honest review, as always all views and opinions are my own.

This is so clever and sounds like it would be a lot of fun to use. I don’t have an iphone which is a shame. 🙁

This is the first time I am reading about lenses for Iphones. Sounds like an amazing thing to have! Must to get one for myself.

I bought some lens similar to this for my iPhone but I think these are better because you can attach easily just by putting the phone case on.
