I’ve made it to the end of another year blogging. Blogging is the one hobby I haven’t quit and is now my job, which is still weird to get my head around at times. I love it so much, and I can’t imagine it not in my life.
Last year I shared with you my top ten blog posts from 2017 and I thought that I would do the same again this year. I found it really interesting to see what posts are being loved by people.
Here are the most viewed posts in 2018, not including any giveaway or review posts.
Number Ten – Feeling Out Of Sorts and Not Myself…The Ordinary Moments
This post, Feeling Our Of Sorts and Not Myself, was an emotional rambling post. I was feeling stifled with my blog and struggling to find my place. It’s strange reading this post back seven months later. Whilst some of it still applies to how I feel now, I have removed myself from the wider blogging community and it has definitely helped. I guess there are always going to be cliches wherever you go and I try to just avoid them now.
Number Nine – A Letter To My Two Year Old
This is a lovely surprise to see my letter to my two year old making the top ten this year. I wrote this post in August 2016 for Holly on her birthday. I write letters to my girls every year on their birthdays and they are some of my favourite posts to write. I hope that my girls will love reading them back when they are older.
It seems that everyone else loves a letter too.
Number Eight – A Snowy Week…The Ordinary Moments
I remember this week well, it seemed so strange having snow in March. It caught us by surprise and I wasn’t prepared for it, the fridge was a bit empty. Our shopping delivery got cancelled and we survived on soup. The girls and I headed out for some snow fun with our friends and it was really cold from the wind.
It was unexpected snow days, but we loved it. I used to love writing my ordinary moments posts each week, but I stopped along the way.
Number Seven – Our Mini Adventure To Jersey – Part One
At the start of the summer holidays we were kindly invited to visit Jersey and the girls were very excited as they were going to have their first trip on a ferry. We had an amazing time and it was one our highlights of 2018, so I’m pleased to see that people also enjoy reading about our adventures.
Jersey was somewhere that I went to a lot as a child, but Andy and the girls had never been. It was lovely to take them and show them my favourite beach. Plus to explore some new places for us all.
Number Six – My Girls In March 2018
I love writing about my girls each month, watching their relationship is such a privilege. I love that they have each other and that they are so close. I hope this will always be the case. I’m sure the teenage years will bring its challenges, but I hope that they can also be a shoulder to cry on for each other, as we know we all need one.
Number Five – A Trip To SeaLife, Weymouth
When we were on holiday in Dorset, we visited the Sealife in Weymouth. It was the first time we used our Merlin Annual Passes and we had a lovely afternoon. There was lots for the girls to do and they had a brilliant outdoor play area. Its great that you can visit the Sealife centres all year round, no matter what the weather.
Number Four – Back To School With Tesco F&F Uniform
One of the things that still surprises me about my blog, is when brands choose to work with me. It is something that I’m incredibly grateful for and when choosing who I work with, I make sure it is right for our family. We loved working with Tesco for their back to school campaign. It was an emotional time for me sending Holly to school and having both my girls at school.
They loved their uniform and Alice declared her skirt the softest skirt ever. They looked so smart and the uniform is still in good condition now.
Number Three – A Magical Stay At The Enchanted Village At Alton Towers
When we became Ambassadors for Merlin, one place I knew I wanted to take the girls was to Alton Towers. They had never been before and they were the perfect ages for Cbeebiesland. We decided to stay over and booked The Enchanted Village. It really was a lovely place to stay, the girls loved their bunk beds, and all the little touches that were in our lodge. It is definitely somewhere we would love to stay again.
Number Two – A Trip To Chessington World Of Adventures
We love Chessington World of Adventures and have had a few brilliant days out there this year. The first time we visited I was amazed at how much there is for little ones to do and I wonder if that is why this post is so popular, people want to see how much there is for their children before visiting.
Number One – I Will Never Know A Son’s Love
A post that I wrote back in April 2016, I Will Never Know A Son’t Love, and it was my most viewed most in 2016 and 2017. It’s a post that gets viewed every day, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that it is still my most viewed most. Its strange how your most inner thoughts, that you put out into the world are shared with so many. It seems that I am not alone in my thoughts, and that is what I love about blogging, the ability to not feel alone, when you think that you’re the only person to feel this way.
That’s it! My top ten viewed posts from 2018 a real mixture of posts. Let’s see where 2010 takes us and what I will be sharing with you all.
Happy New Year!
