It’s felt like a long week, but quite a nice one. The one has shone all week, which definitely makes life a lot easier. We’ve been making the most of the nice weather, with trips to the park after school. It’s nice to still be in my summer clothes, even if I am wearing a coat for the school drop off because its a bit chilly first thing.
Here is my little snapshot of this week…
A Day At Home… Last Sunday we were going to have a day out and make the most of the sunny weather. But we were all a bit tired and decided that a day at home was needed. We popped into town in the morning and Andy took the girls to the park in the afternoon. They then spent the rest of the day outside our house playing with our neighbours children, while Andy chatted to our neighbours. I love where we live and the girls had a fun.
Spa Day… On Tuesday I dropped the girls at school and headed to a spa with my friend. We booked it at the start of the summer, knowing that after the summer holidays we would need a well deserved rest. It was really lovely to sit and chat, and I didn’t read any of my book. We had a lovely massage and it was just what I needed. We even made it back to pick the kids up from school!
New After School Routine… Alice is starting Brownies on Monday and we’ve therefore had to move the girls swimming from a Monday to a Thursday. This was the first week and it was a bit of a rush to get to the lessons, as they are earlier than before. I’m sure after a couple of weeks, we will get used to it again.
The Seven Year Switch… Andy and I love watching The Seven Year Switch and have just finished the Australian series 2. I find it really fascinating and we watched the episodes back to back over a few days. We’re now about to start watching The Capture, has anyone watched it yet?
This weekend… It’s a weekend of parties for Holly this week. I also want to try and get some jobs done around the house.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
