It’s been another busy week and I think this is going to be my life until the girls break up from school. There is so much going on at the moment and I feel like I’m going to forget something along the way.
I feel like I need to be preparing for the girls being off school for six weeks, but there is only so much I can do ahead of time with my work. Most of it is in the moment, and I will be working a lot of late nights over the summer. But its always worth it to be able to be at home with the girls.
Here is my little snapshot of this week…
Helping With Rainbows… On Saturday the girls and I went to help at the village market. Alice’s rainbows were running the kitchen for the week, as a way to raise money for the girls at Rainbows to be able to enjoy trips out etc. They loved it and it was great to be part of.
Swimming At David Lloyd.. A few weeks ago I won a week’s membership for the family at David Lloyd and we went last Saturday to make use of it. It was the perfect time, as it was a boiling sunny day and we got to go swimming in the outdoor pool. The girls loved it! The girls and I also went swimming again on Wednesday after school with some friends and it was great fun.
Time With Holly… On Sunday Alice had a party in the morning and I thought it was a good opportunity for me to spend some time just with Holly. I really miss her now she is at school and she was so excited to have Mummy all to herself. As much as my girls adore each other, I have to remember they also treasure time just with me on their own. We went for an ice cream and then to the park, which were both her requests. I loved it!
Exercise!… I haven’t exercised properly for years and I mean years. Yes, I run around after the girls and we go for walks, but not your typical exercise. With us having the David Lloyd membership this week, I went to the gym a couple of times and I felt so good. There was an analyse machine, that scanned my body and whilst the results could’ve been better, they also weren’t as bad as I thought they were going to be. I was green (which is good!) for everything. I now need to find a way of keeping up the exercise, now the membership has ended.
Transition Day… The girls had their second transition day at their schools this week. Alice spent a whole day at the juniors school and loved it. Holly spent the morning with her new teacher and class and she had fun too. We found out their class teachers for September and who is in their class and both girls were happy. I can’t believe we are nearly at the end of another school year. Holly’s first year done and Alice’s time at the infant school over. I’m not ready for it!
This weekend… On Friday evening we are all off to a little mini festival at the juniors school, which a lot of the village go to and the girls are very excited. Saturday we’re going to the village fete and Alice is doing a dance there and on Sunday Holly has a party.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
