I can’t believe that I haven’t published a post since Monday, that never happens! I have been busy working, but all the posts have needed approval before I publish them, and so I’ve been doing them and none are ready to share. There has also been a lot on this week and I haven’t stopped all week. I’m exhausted!
Here is my little snapshot of this week…
Legoland… On Saturday we went to Legoland with our friends and had a brilliant day. It was surprisingly quiet, and I was convinced it would be busy because it was really lovely weather. We got on so many rides and hardly queued. It was our first trip to Legoland this year and it won’t be our last, its one of our favourites.
Shopping and Hair cuts.. Alice missed our hair cut with our normal hairdresser because she was at a party and so I took her to one in town. We all went and we did some shopping, had lunch out and it was a nice relaxed Sunday. Alice always looks younger when she has her hair cut and so cute. Which she now hates me calling her, cute!
Transition Day… The girls had their transition day at school this week. Alice went down to the juniors for the morning and Holly went into her potential new class for September. They both came out of school, full of chat and telling me how much they loved it. At bedtime Holly burst into tears, because she suddenly realised it meant Alice wouldn’t be at school with her anymore. Even though we’ve been talking about it, I don’t think she fully realised what it meant. I think Alice leaving is going to the hardest thing for Holly to get used to. But I do think it will be good for her too.
A Day With A Friend… I went shopping with a friend this week, helping her get a few things for her engagement party. It was really nice to spend some time, where we could talk, laugh and not be interrupted by children!! Its hard to get the work/life balance right and at the moment I’m helping a lot at the girls school. But when I do take this time out, its really nice.
Sports Day… The girls had their sports day and it was their first one and only one together. They loved it. They were in the same team and they were just adorable together. Alice got 1st place in her running race and Holly came 2nd in hers. They did great and we all enjoyed a picnic in the sunshine.
This weekend… Alice and I are helping at the village market with her rainbows. Alice also has a party to go to! Its meant to be really hot, so I think the paddling pool will be out.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
