It’s been a busy week, the girls didn’t go back to school until Wednesday and until then we were having lots of lovely time together as a family. Andy went back to work on Tuesday and the girls had one more day together before they went back. Then it was time for me to play catch up with work and the house. I’m exhausted! I love having the girls home, but it means working in the evening and its hard work. But I’m not complaining as I know that I’m lucky to do a job that works around the girls. It just means late nights and juggling for a few weeks.
Here is my little snapshot of this week…
Time With Family … On Saturday we spent the day with my cousin and her family. We headed to White Horse Hill, which is a National Trust and they had an Easter egg hunt on. There is no cafe there, so we took a picnic and we had a lovely walk around, doing all the clues for the hunt. The girls love my cousins son, especially Holly. She walked around holding his hand and even though he is 9 years old, he is so good with her. We then went back to their house and they all had great time playing in the garden. We ended the day with fish and chips and it was an amazing day.
Easter Fun!… The girls have been patiently waiting for Easter to arrive, with it being so late this year. It finally arrived and the girls were very excited. We spent the day with my family, at Mottisfont National Trust. The girls love spending time with their cousin and we had such gorgeous weather. Of course we did an Easter Egg hunt and they had a great time. We then went into Romsey and had lunch all together which was lovely.
The Bay… We finished watching The Bay this week and it was so good. I love a good series and this was definitely one worth watching. We’ve also started watching Catastrophe on Netflix and it’s really funny. An easy one to watch, which is I love sometimes. Where you can sit down, relax and watch a programme without too much concentration. Laughing along the way, which is good for the sole.
A Day At Home… On Monday we had a much needed day at home. It was a lovely day and the girls spent the day out in the garden. We had out lunch outside for the first time this year and Andy and I managed to get some outdoor jobs done. Since we moved into our home 2 years ago we haven’t done anything to the garden and I would really like to change that this year. It’s currently just a patio and grass and I would like to add some plant pots and lights to make it pretty.
Time To Myself… As I’ve got older I’ve realised that I need time to myself and that is ok. Having the girls home and with me for the last 2 1/2 weeks has been amazing. But I was craving time to myself and yes that time was spent catching up on my work. But I definitely needed it. I don’t need lots of time, but just 30 minutes where no one is asking anything from me and I can just recharge, makes me a better person.
This weekend… Holly has got her best friends birthday party and she is so excited. Apart from that we have a quiet weekend and I’m hoping that the forecast is wrong and it doesn’t rain all weekend.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
