We’ve been on Easter Holidays for the last week and we were definitely all ready for it. It’s been just me and the girls this week, with Andy at work. But he has next week off and we can’t wait.
It’s definitely been a different type of week and its definitely more exhausting having the girls home. But I wouldn’t change it, I love having them home. Busy days with them and then working in the evenings, definitely is tiring. But I’m so lucky to have a job that works around the girls and I would never complain about it.
Here is my little snapshot of this week…
Party Time … On Saturday the girls had a friends birthday party. They were so excited to be going to a party together, as they’ve got older they don’t get to go to as many parties together like they used to. They have their own friends, which is lovely too. They had a great time and came back very happy.
Spa Afternoon… Last Sunday I headed off to a spa for the afternoon with my SIL for her birthday. It was amazing, we talked a lot, sat in the hot tub, had a back massage and finished with afternoon tea. It was just what I needed and it definitely set me up ready for the Easter holidays with the girls home. I think I will need another one, at the end of the holidays!!
Time With Family … The holidays give us a chance to spend time with people. On Tuesday we spent the day with my parents and niece. It rained all day and we headed to a soft play, which the girls loved. It was really lovely to spend time together and the girls just love their cousin.
Baking… It’s not the holidays unless we do some baking. The girls couldn’t wait and they wanted to do one each, which is always fun. Holly wanted to make a lemon cake, which is my favourite too and Alice wanted to make a heart cake, covered with smarties. Now they are older it is easier and they had fun. Plus who doesn’t love cake to eat!
Fun Day with Friends… Holly adores her best friend and we met up with her and her mum one day. She has been so excited for the day to arrive and has been on best behaviour to make sure she got to go! We spent the day looking for giant bunnies, doing crazy golf and getting their face painted. The best bit, it was all free! I think its amazing when towns put things on for children during the holidays. How cute do they look?
Easter Eggs… Easter is nearly here and the girls (and me) can’t wait. We were kindly sent a hamper from Kinder, and we couldn’t wait to see what they have this Easter. With a new range this year, which includes a giant Kinder egg, with a surprise inside, a Kinder egg hunt kit and of course the little Kinder eggs that we all know and love.
The girls were very excited when they saw them, with the Kinder egg hunt being their favourite. They can’t wait for us to have an Easter Egg hunt around the garden. The whole range is available from all supermarkets.
This weekend… Andy is on holiday for 11 days and we can’t wait to have him home with us. This weekend Alice and I are doing Go Ape and she can’t wait. Holly is off out with her best friend for her birthday and she can’t wait. I’m also hoping to find some bluebells!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
