My Little Snapshots…

My Little Snapshots…

This week has been half term for us and I’ve loved having the girls home with me. By the time we got to Friday they were both ready for a break. I’m incredibly lucky that my job means that I can spend the days with the girls and work in the evening while they are sleeping. Yes, it means late nights, but it will always be worth it.

We’ve had a week of relaxed days at home, and days out with friends and family. It’s been the perfect balance and just what we all needed. Sadly, Andy could only join us for one day, but we made sure it was a good one!

Here is my little snapshot of this week…

A National Trust Visit… Buying our National Trust Passes a few years ago, has been one of the best things we’ve done. We use them so much and its nice to have an option of places to go for a few hours. We headed to Mottisfont on Sunday and they had a trail on, which the girls loved. It was a great way to get us to walk around and not miss anything. Plus at the end they got to make a rosette. It was a gorgeous day and we then headed into Romsey for lunch.

Relaxing, Baking and Crafting.. On Monday we spent most of the day at home, with the exception of popping out in the afternoon to get the girls feet measured. We spent the day baking a cake, relaxing on the sofa and doing some crafting. It was just what the girls needed and set us up for the rest of the week.

A Fun Day With Family … We spent the day with my Mum and niece. The girls adore their cousin and have been so excited to spend the day with her. We headed to soft play, which I normally am not a fan of, but as the girls can now do it by themselves it means we can sit and have a coffee. We then had lunch at a cafe and then went to the park for a run around. It was a lovely day and it makes me so happy that the girls have their cousin live close by.

Play Dates.. Normally during the school holidays the girls spend every day together. Alice was invited to a friends house for the morning and she really wanted to go and we booked it in. Holly’s best friend Mum then asked if we were free to meet up, which was perfect. Holly and I headed off to a local activity day and the girls were SO excited to see each other. They did some crafting, a few quizzes and then we headed off to a cafe for lunch. Afterwards we headed to David Lloyd, as they have a small soft play and Alice joined us there. They were all having such a lovely time, we ended up staying for 3 hours! I love days like that.

A Day With Daddy… Andy joined us on Thursday and as the girls were desperate to go swimming, we saved it for when Andy was with us. We had a lovely time, going down the slide, round the lazy river. We then had lunch and we had a 50% discount code for the bowling alley and decided to head there after lunch. It was a brilliant day, but having Andy home made it feel like Friday!!

This weekend… We will be making the most of these last few days of half term and the girls have an inset day on Monday too. A trip out somewhere, probably a National Trust and some chilled time at home.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Your week sounds perfect. I managed 3 days off with George and loved it so much. We are yet to buy an NT pass but it’s on our list. I love slow days at home, sometimes it’s all you need. Enjoy the last of your time together, yay for inset days – hope the sun stays for you

The weather has been perfect for getting out hasn’t it? Its great that you got to mix your time with chilled days in and out, i am not a fan of soft play either, in fact it is my worse nightmare, that’s one thing I sent miss about the boys being small! Hope your last few days were fab?
