This week has been a busy and emotional one. My little Holly finished preschool and I can’t believe that I no longer have any children in preschool. That come September I will be a school mum to two little girls.
I’ve been desperately trying to get as much work done as I can ahead of the holidays and also packing for our little trip away this weekend. It’s been busy!
Here is my little snapshot of my week…
Summer Fayre… Last weekend we went to the summer fayre at Alice’s school. It was really lovely and we ended up staying much later than we planned, as the girls were having fun. We were sat chatting to friends and it was one of those times when the sun was shining and everyone was having too good a time for it to end. I love moments like that.
Fun in the garden… We definitely try and get a balance of weekends off doing things and weekends at home. Last weekend was a weekend at home, Alice had a party in the morning and then the afternoon we spent in the garden. We got the water slide out and the girls had lots of fun. We’re loving this weather at the moment.
Coffee With Friends…I went and met my friend Katy for a coffee in the week and it was lovely to catch up. Last time we saw each other in the school holidays and it was just crazy with 4 children and not much time to chat. This was a lot more leisurely and nice to have a proper chat.
Swimming… Holly had her last swimming lesson with me in the pool and I can’t tell you how pleased I am that phase is over. I’ve been getting in the pool every week for the last 6 years and I’m ready to now sit on the side and watch her, along with Alice.
Summer Holidays… Alice has finished year one and we’re now officially on summer holidays and we are all very excited for our summer of fun. No more school run, early mornings and routine.
This weekend… We’re on a little trip away to Jersey and we are all very excited. I’ve been about 4 times when I was a child and have lots of lovely memories from out holidays there. Andy and the girls have never been and can’t wait to see it. We leave really early in the morning, but it will be worth it.
I hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy the sunshine.
