My Little Snapshots…

My Little Snapshots…

I haven’t written a little snapshot post for a couple of weeks. I took Christmas off and it’s been really nice and just what I needed. The girls and Andy were off and we had a lovely chilled time Andy went back to work on Wednesday, but the girls don’t go back until Monday.

Here is my little snapshot of this week…

Child Free Shopping… Last Friday Andy and I went shopping without the girls. Andy’s parents were on holiday over Christmas and the girls went to spend some time with them. It was really nice being able to shop without little people getting bored. Andy and I had some money to spend from Christmas, Andy did quite well. But I didn’t really see anything that I needed. I did buy a few bargains for the girls.

Annual Ice Skating.. On Saturday we went to Millets Farm with my family for our annual ice skating trip. Its my parents treat for the girls and my niece at Christmas. I go on with my SIL, whilst my parents, Andy and brother watch. Its good fun, the girls love it and its a lovely way to spend time together as a family.

Lazy Days … We’ve had lots of lazy days at home. The girls have needed the quiet time after a busy term at school and its been lovely, just being at home. They’ve been playing with their toys and really nicely together. We’ve snuggled up on the sofa and watched films. Its been perfect.

Bowling … We headed out for a game of ten pin bowling. Alice loves it and its great for us all to be able to do as a family. Holly only has the attention span for 1 game, but actually its not cheap so thats good. We had a lovely afternoon and at one point in the game I was actually beating Andy, but he still came back to beat me.

Play Date… Holly’s friend and her mum came over for a playdate. Holly has been SO excited about it, asking me everyday how many more sleeps. It was more exciting than Christmas Day! What was cute, was they had both got a new bike for Christmas and her Mum and I had no idea we had got them the same bike. She brought it over and the girls were very happy when they saw they had the same one and it was very cute seeing them riding their bikes together.

This weekend… We have a fairly quiet weekend. Alice has a party to go to on Saturday afternoon and I think we will go and see Nativity Rocks at the mini morning.

I hope you all had a lovely New Year and are looking forward to a lovely 2019.
