My Little Snapshots…

My Little Snapshots…

This week has been a better week, we’ve not really had much on and its been nice to have a slower week. As I know things are about to get really busy with Christmas on its way.

The girls found out their parts in the school nativities. Alice is going to be a mouse in hers and I had to find brown leggings and top for her to wear, which was not easy. Holly is going to be the star in her nativity and she is so excited. There is only 1 star and they sing a song all about follow the star and everyone points at Holly. The teacher said she stands there with the biggest cutest smile on her face when they do it and I can’t wait to watch it. Lets hope she does the same on the actual day!

Here is my little snapshot of this week…

Time with Mum… Last Friday I spent the day with my mum and it was lovely. It’s not often that its just the two of us and whilst it was for a work campaign that I’m doing. We did get to have lunch together afterwards which was nice.

Christmas Shopping… We went to a nearby town last Saturday and did some Christmas shopping. The girls gave us a few ideas on what grandparents could get them. We had been invited to try Bills menu and had a lovely lunch there, before coming home. We stopped of for a run about before coming home, as the weather was so nice and I think that may have been the last of the nice weather.

Winter Walks with Friends … Where we live we have a beautiful woods within walking distance and we go through phases of always going there for a walk and then not going for a while. On Sunday we had a roast dinner and then we met up with some friends for a walk. We have 4 girls between us and they all get on, it was a lovely sunny day for this time of year and nice to get some fresh air and appreciate where we live. We then came home for hot chocolate!

Holidays … Andy and I have started to talk about our holiday for next year, we have no plans at the moment and really need to start thinking about where we would like to go. It’s Andy’s 40th in August and it would be nice to have our holiday around that time too. Lots of planning and organising to do!

Pressure of Christmas … It suddenly dawned on me this week, that its December next weekend and I really needed to start getting more organised for Christmas. Normally I start early and get it all done, but I’ve been really slow this year. But I made some good headway this week, thank goodness for online shopping.

This weekend… We’ve got a fairly quiet weekend. The girls have haircuts and I want to tackle our spare bedroom, which needs a massive clear out. On Sunday my sister in law and I, are taking my Mum out for her birthday. It’s a surprise, so I will tell you next week what we get up to. As my Mum (hello!) will be reading this!!!

I hope you all have a brilliant weekend.

The running photo is so lovely. And gosh the preparations for Christmas are my favourite. We’ve boxed everything but a couple of friends off now. Hopefully December we can just enjoy the festivities. I hope you’ve had a good week

Sounds like your girls have the cutest parts in the nativity. It’s nice to be able to spend a bit of quality time with your mum and involve her in a campaign too. I’ve taken my mum to various places over the years and she loves it.
