What a crazy busy week it’s been. The girls had an inset day on Monday, which was lovely to have them home for an extra day. Then it was back to school for them and I was into Halloween party mode. We live in a small village, where lots of families go out and do trick or treating and it’s a lovely evening. The girls get to see their friends, which they love. We had a few friends over beforehand and so I’ve been getting the house back up straight after half term and decorating it ready. I’ve hardly done any work this week and really need to catch up.
Here is my little snapshot of this week…
Lazy Weekends… Last weekend we had a really lazy one. We had planned to go to Legoland for the day, but the weather suddenly dropped and we all decided it was far too cold to stand in queues. Instead we had a voucher for a restaurant and headed into town for a play at the park and lunch. Afterwards we came home, the girls put their pyjamas on and snuggled on the sofa to watch a film. I think we all needed a slower weekend.
Finally we have furniture… If you read my post the other week you will know we’ve had an ongoing problem with the furniture in our dining room. Well, on Monday I took delivery of the unit and it wasn’t faulty! I can’t begin to tell you the relief after 8 long months of problems. And I love it, it fits lots more in than the one we were originally going to have and it looks nice too!
Anxiety … The last couple of days my anxiety has gone through the roof and I’ve felt all out of sorts. I think I know what has caused it and I just need to learn to not put myself into situations where I’m going to be left feeling like this. I know its going to take a bit of time to move on from it, I over think things a lot and it whirls around my mind.
Halloween … As I mentioned we had a few people over at our house before we took the children out for trick or treating. They all get so excited about it, and its lovely to see them all having fun together. I was exhausted by the end of it, but that’s a sign of a good time.
The Crown … Andy and I have started to watch The Crown, I love the royal family and find programmes like this really interesting. Andy does have to keep reminding me, that this might not be exactly what happened, as I do get caught up in it all.
Reading…I read a post this week, all about, Why I Am Struggling, and I always admire people who open up and are so honest about how they are feeling.
This weekend… We’re off to a local firework display with some friends and the girls are very excited. Apart from that, we have no real plans and I can’t.
I hope you all have a brilliant weekend.
