My Little Snapshots…

My Little Snapshots…

I’ve had my girls home with me this week for half term and I’ve loved every minute of it. It means my week looks very different to usual. With Holly only just starting school I knew she would be tired and need a fairly quiet week. But we’ve managed to have lots of fun and I’m going to miss them next week.

Here is my little snapshot of this week…

Trip To London We started half term with a weekend away to London. Holly hasn’t been to London before and we thought it was a great opportunity to make use of our Merlin Annual Pass. We stayed in the beautiful Royal Garden Hotel, which even had scooters the girls could borrow and we headed next door to Kensington Palace Gardens for a scoot before bed. We also went on the London Eye, visited Sealife London and Madame Tussauds. It was a brilliant weekend, we all loved it and it was the perfect start to half term.

Out Of My Comfort Zone… On Monday I dropped the girls at their grandparents and went and did some filming for a brand. This is way out of my comfort zone, but I’m trying to push myself into doing things that I would normally say no too. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to share with you all what I’ve been up to.

Cousins … My parents look after my niece over the holidays and we met up with them for a morning at the park. It’s near a lake and we had a lovely walk round. The girls love seeing their cousin and had a great time.

New Friends … Since Holly has started school, she has been making friends and I’ve been making friends. It can always be a bit daunting as a school mum, but the mums in Holly’s year have been lovely. The girls and I met up with one of Holly’s friends and her mum for a trip to a local farm and we had a lovely day out. It actually turned out to be really warm and we were all a bit warm in our winter jumpers!

IKEA … I know how to treat the girls 🙂 This week has been about getting the balance of fun days and quieter days, to give the girls a chance to relax. I needed a few things from IKEA for their bedrooms and they actually love a trip to IKEA, so we headed there one morning. I honesty don’t know how I end up spending so much!

This weekend… We’ve got no concrete plans this weekend and I’m really excited. We might head to Legoland one day, for one last day of fun before the girls go back to school.

I hope you all have a brilliant weekend and if you’ve been on half term, you’ve had a good one.

Your weekend in London sounds wonderful. I’ve never taken my little one into London, but he’s desperate to go to the Natural History Museum, so it looks like we’ll be making the trip soon. It’s lovely when they start making friends at school and when you start making them too. And good for you stepping outside of your comfort zone with the filming, you’re certainly braver than me! Have a fab week x

Sounds a great half term and lovely to hear you have both been making friends. One of my closest friends is somebody I met when our boys were in reception together 12 years ago. Your London trip looks wonderful, and I have heard so many wonderful things about the hotel you stayed in x

London is great for a weekend with the kids. It’s quite a lovely touch that the hotel had scooters for the kids to borrow, that is great!
I love a trip to Ikea, I think everybody does

Your weekend sounds fab. We did a weekend in London last Christmas and took in all the attractions, isn’t it great having Merlin passes. I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend before school starts x
