My Little Snapshots…

My Little Snapshots…

It’s been a busy week, I feel like I’ve been running from one place to the next and we’ve had a lot being done at the house too which has taken a lot of time, energy and I’m exhausted. I’m sorry that this week might not be as interesting to read about, but it’s my life at the moment.

Here is my little snapshot of this week…

New Friends When I became a school mum for the first time I was really nervous about making school mum friends. But I didn’t need to be, as I now have a lovely group of friends who are all lovely. When Holly started in September the Mums were really friendly and everyone wanted to get to know each other, which has been lovely. I’ve had coffee, play dates and wine nights and I’m really enjoying getting to know them.

Harvest Festival… We had the girls Harvest Festival at school this week and it was just so lovely to watch both my girls. Little Holly got up and sang Big Red Combine Harvester and she was just the cutest and Alice sang her heart out in all the songs. She had a line to say and she did it really well and I was so proud of her.

New Bedroom … When we moved house Alice’s bed got slightly damaged in the move and its lasted really well, but we really needed to change it. This week her new bedroom furniture arrived and my lovely parents came and put up the wallpaper for me. I’m really pleased with how it’s looking so far and now it’s the best part to do, adding all those finishing touches.

Furniture Dramas … While we’re talking about furniture. We brought some new furniture for our dining room and the unit has been faulty, we’ve had 4 replacement parts and they’ve all been faulty and we’ve now got to the stage where we just don’t trust the quality of the furniture. Which has meant finding replacements and sorting out returning the furniture and it’s just not been that easy or fun. But I know it’s the right decision and it will be hopefully be worth all this pain.

New Book … I’ve started to read the new Gary Barlow book, I’m a big Take That fan and Gary has quite a story to tell and I can’t wait to read more of it. I just need to stop falling asleep at bedtime, as I’m not making much progress.

This weekend… It’s parties and more parties this weekend. One of them is my niece’s party and the girls are very excited about it.

I hope you all have a brilliant weekend!

Oh it’s so fun decorating and sounds ace can’t wait to see little ones bedroom. I am literally in the process of putting touches on my master bedroom, redoing my daughters, creating a nursery and building an office and bedroom in the loft. It’s like a construction site here and everything is half done. hahaha I can’t wait to finish it all and share it all. lol 🙂

I do love having a reorganisation and redecoration of rooms. Or at least tweaking. That book sounds fab, I do love GB so I’ll have to take a look at it
