We’re half way through September already and the girls are back into the swing of school. I still can’t get my head around the fact that I have a child in year one and year three, I feel like I blinked and we’re here. Alice is really enjoying the juniors school, it has opened her eyes more and she has settled in well. She already has her first school trip next week and is very excited about it.
Holly has also settled into year one and likes her new teacher. She is missing Alice and came home the other day telling her she missed a new song they learnt. Alice is a brilliant big sister and told her, she could teach it to her. I’m sure as time goes on and this becomes our new normal, Holly will get used to not having Alice there with her.
We’ve been making the most of the sunny days, as I know it won’t be long before it suddenly changes. We’ve had trips to the beach, which we all love to do. It’s probably one of our most relaxing days out. We set up, the girls play in the sand, run in the sea and its all very easy. The girls and I made full use of our National Trust passes on the last day of the summer holidays and had a lovely time at The Vyne.
Now we’re back to school, the girls are making the most of their time together at the weekends. They fall into a natural routine, and I’m very lucky that they adore each other. Alice is showing more signs of growing up, and will very quickly give in and let Holly do something first, or hold something. Which is lovely to see and makes for less arguments.
My photos this month are from our beach days and our trip to The Vyne. I’m sure that next months photos we will be wrapped up in coats.
