I can’t believe how quickly the weeks are flying by at the moment, it only seems like yesterday I was writing my October post about the girls and they were surrounded by pumpkins. Now Halloween and Firework night have been and gone, it feels like the count down to Christmas has begun.
The last month has seen Holly have her first half term and we were all ready for it. We took a family trip to London, which Alice has been looking forward to since we booked it in April. We went on the London Eye and visited the Sea Life. The weather was amazing and we all had a brilliant time.
The rest of half term was pretty quiet and before we knew it, it was back to school. I wasn’t sure how Holly would be going back, but thankfully she was ok about it.
My girls have always been close, their relationship is one of the things that I love to watch the most. I didn’t think it was possible for them to be any closer, but when Holly started school they have definitely become closer. It’s like they are now part of the same gang. Holly no longer wonders what Alice does all day. They can sing the same school songs together, they chat about things that they’ve done. The know all the children that they talk about.
After school as we go home, they tell me if they managed to see each other for lunch. If they played together in the playground at lunchtime. Alice looks out for Holly and I love that. I did worry that if Holly just played with Alice, she would struggle to make her own friends. But I’m not going to let that worry me, they are only at the same school for one year and then Alice will head off to the juniors. Let them enjoy this time together.
I didn’t do any planned photos of the girls this month. But I had these gorgeous photos of them from a couple of weekends ago. We headed to Basildon Park for a run about and the girls were in a very loving mood with each other. Not leaving each others side, holding hands or cuddling as close as they could. I snapped a couple of photos as I love moments like this.
My girls, my best friends, they will always have each other…
