The weeks are just flying by and I can’t believe Alice finishes preschool next week and the summer holidays begin. As much as I can’t wait for the summer holidays, I just want time to slow down as I am not ready to send her off to school in September. When did she get so big?
This month has been spent getting Alice ready for school, we have had settling in sessions which I am really pleased to say that she loved. There were smiles going in and smiles coming out, fingers crossed she feels the same on her first day. She talks about it all the time, asking if she is still going after birthday and when are we going to buy her school shoes.
We enjoyed a lovely week away to Wales with my parents, the girls loved having nanny and grandad with them every day. It rained every day, but that didn’t matter to them and we still have a lovely time and made lots of lovely memories.
Holly really does thrive when we are all together and her speech had come on so much. Saying full sentences now and we seemed to have skipped through that frustrating stage where they struggle to tell us what they want.
Their relationship together is what brings me the most happiness, they really do love each other. When they leave each other it is always with a hug and kiss and when they are reunited its with a run to each other and the biggest cuddle ever. It’s adorable to watch.
Holly really misses Alice when she is at preschool and I just know she is going to love having her home with us every day over the school holidays. It will be a shock for us all come September when our little three becomes two during the day.
As the weeks are racing away with me, this post snuck up on me and I needed to get the photos. It was Alice’s preschool day and I had a mad idea that I would quickly take them in the garden before we left for some photos. In my head I thought this was going to be a disaster, as all they would want to do is play out there. But, thankfully that wasn’t the case and they sat happily for five minutes for me to quickly snap away.
I think these might be some of my favourites of them…my girls in July.
