My Girls…July 2018

My Girls…July 2018

Wow that was a quick 4 weeks since I last wrote about my girls. These summer days seem to make the time go even quicker, but I’m not complaining as it means we are nearly at the summer holidays and I get to have them home for the summer. I’m just hoping the nice weather sticks around for it.

I’m loving our life at the moment and I think the girls are too. We seem to have got to a good place where we have the right balance between having fun days out, trips away and relaxing days at home. We love them all for different reasons and what they bring us. But most of all my girls are just loving the time together.

Right now they play really well together, they have their favourite role play games that they both seem to enjoy. What I love is that when we get back from a day out. Before I’ve even got everything in from the car and taken my shoes off, they are already off playing together. They love it.

With the sunny days, every day after school Alice gets changed, sun cream is on and they run out to the garden. They have a snack together and then they play together until dinner time.

After dinner Alice will often read to Holly and I, I love how confident she is with her reading now and Holly loves having her big sister read to her. They then have a quick play outside, making the most of the summer evenings before bedtime.

The next 4 weeks are going to be a busy time for us, with the end of school to deal with and then we have a trip away straight away in the summer holidays. Then it’s birthday time for Alice, Andy and Holly, which is my 10 day crazy period where all I do is wrap presents and eat cake. But they love it and it’s always worth it.

I usually take specific photos for these posts, but I just haven’t had a chance to get them. Luckily I have lots of lovely photos of my two from the days out we’ve had, which I just love.

So many fun adventures together here. They sound like the best of friends too. May the sunshine last for the whole summer for us all. #siblingsproject

I remember reading last month that you take specific photos for your siblings posts and thinking what a good idea that was. I love that even though that didn’t happen this month your pictures convey so beautifully the bond between your girls. It’s lovely to see them having fun splashing about too as we don’t have a pool we can take our camera too (and I wouldn’t trust myself not to drop it even if I could!)

Gosh these summer days really do seem to fly by don’t they? Like everything is on hold to enjoy them! It does look like they have though and I hope the crazy next few weeks are good ones xx

Beautiful photos. We are hoping to start the Summer properly once us parents are off in August. It’s hard when you work and you only get the weekends. #siblingsproject
