I actually cannot believe that we are at the end of November, because that means that in two days time we’ve been in our new home for a whole year. That’s just crazy. If someone asked me how long we’d been here, I would say six or seven months.
As I sit here now looking around our home I’m so pleased that we brought it. Yes, there is lots that I want to do to it, as we haven’t decorated apart from the girls rooms and it would be nice to add some splashes of colour on our very white walls. But as with everything in life it all takes time and money, both of which we’re a bit short of right now.
But I know that it will come in time and I’m definitely not complaining, as I do love our home.
The girls settled in incredibly well, we didn’t have any problems at all. I think Holly was too little to really understand, but then when we drive past our old house she still points it out, so she must understand on some level. And Alice was just happy to be closer to her school.
Moving to our new home was the best decision we’ve made, I love where we live, I love that the girls can go outside the front door and ride on their scooters and bikes and I love the sense of community.
This month has been a fairly quiet one for us as a family, which we’ve all enjoyed. We’ve spent time going on nice walks, having far too many hot chocolates and cakes and spending time at home. As we head into December its a busy of time year, lots happening at their preschool and school, we’ve got lots of lovely Christmas plans at the weekends leading up to Christmas.
As it is a year since we moved into our home it felt right that our family photos this month were taken in our home. But of course things never go to plan and when I planned to take them, Alice was poorly and they ended up being last minute selfie’s. Taken in bad light, everyone being a bit crazy, but I love these 3 people and they make me smile everyday.
