I was actually really organised with my photos this month. A few weeks ago we had a really sunny Sunday and after I took Alice to a party we jumped in the car and headed to some bluebell woods that I had been told about.
Alice was really excited as she not only loves exploring, but she seems to have a real interest in flowers. And couldn’t wait to see the bluebells.
I love that our girls find a walk in the woods exciting. Whilst we love to go on days out and take them to farms, theme parks etc we also love to take them on more simple days out, to appreciate where we live and make their own entertainment.
We’ve got into a bit of a routine of having a nice relaxed start to Sundays, with the girls playing happily with their toys. Whilst Andy and I get on with some jobs and a bit of cleaning. Then after lunch we either jump straight in the car and Holly has her nap on the way, or she naps at home and then we go.
We found the bluebell woods easily and they really were like a blue carpet. There were clear paths through them and the girls were very good at making sure they stuck to them.
As we know taking photos with children can be hit and miss. Thankfully the girls were full of beans and wanted to have photos with the bluebells. They also wanted to take some photos and Holly took one of my favourite photos of Alice and I.
We then found a den and the girls loved playing in it. Holly loves to collect sticks and was going round finding more to add to it. Andy then spotted a log in amongst the bluebells and we headed there for a couple more photos.
Here are me and mine for May…
This one is out of focus, but I still love it…
