July has been a month with lots packed in, which tends to be the way as preschool winds down for the summer break. Alice had her sports day and this year she was so much more confident in taking part. Last year she didn’t let go of the teachers hand the whole time, but this time she was the first up every time and it was lovely to watch.
Alice has sadly left her lovely little preschool where she has learnt so much, made some lovely friends and the teachers were amazing. They had a leavers disco and I have never seen Alice so excited, choosing her dress and how to have her hair. When did she grow up?
With preschool behind us, it was going to be our summer of fun and full of lots of adventures before Alice starts school in September. But, all that had to be put on hold as Alice woke up on the first day of the holidays with chicken pox. So, instead we have been spending lazy days at home and in the garden. Thank goodness we’ve had sunny days.
Little Holly has become a proper little girl this month and with her turning two in August, I really need to accept that the baby days are disappearing. She is a proper little chatterbox, just like her sister and daddy, and so much fun to be around. Always up to mischief and with a cheeky smile on her face.
I had planned to take our Me and Mine photos on a camping trip we had planned with our friends, I pictured us all sat on a log in the woods. But, as Alice had chicken pox we couldn’t go and I had to make do with some photos in our garden.
I think these are some of my favourites, all of us being casual in our own surroundings seemed to bring out the best in us.
And Holly is off…
