I’m back again to introduce you to another fabulous blogger who is taking part in my Christmas series.
This week it’s Yvonne, who blogs over at Double the Monkey Business. Yvonne shares her life with her twin boys, who are a similar age to Alice and I can relate to a lot that she writes about.
Here are Yvonne’s answers to my Christmas questions…
1 – What is your favourite Christmas movie?
My favourite christmas movie is The Muppets Christmas Carol. I make the hubby watch it every christmas eve – even before we had the boys.
2 – What is your favourite Christmas song?
This is slightly trickier, I love the bing crosby christmas album. That really makes me feel like it is christmas. If I had to choose a song from that album, then I would go for ‘white christmas’ – that is a classic.
3 – Do you have any family traditions that you would like to share with us?
When I was little I always got a pressie on christmas eve, which has progressed to a christmas eve box for the boys. They get new christmas pjs, a book and some christmas chocolate. On the morning of christmas, when I was little my Dad would always go downstairs to check Santa had been, he would switch on the fire and the christmas tree lights. Then he would shout that he had been so we could come downstairs. It was so magical. Now we have the boys, we do the same thing and it is lovely to see their little faces on Christmas morning. Last year they were shaking with excitement.
4 – What is your favourite childhood memory of Christmas?
When I was small I got a dolls house, which was bigger than me. I will never forget that christmas. I was so excited.
5 – How will you be spending Christmas Day?
We will be spending it at home, with my parents joining us. The morning will be opening christmas pressies. While that is going on I will bake christmas muffins to keep us going. The rest of the day will be eating, playing, relaxing and having fun.
6 – Do you have any exciting plans leading up to Christmas?
This is our last year in Germany, so we will be making use of the legendary christmas markets. This is one of the highlights of living here, so I will be making the most of it while I can.
7 – What you are you hoping Father Christmas will bring you?
8 – If you found some hidden presents, would you peek?
ABSOLUTELY! I have a terrible habit of looking for my pressies. I really should be better now I am a grown up – but christmas brings out the child in me!
9 – What has been your highlight of 2016?
It is hard to pick one. A personal highlight was starting my blog in January and the amazing things I have learnt and people I have met. A family highlight was definitely our holiday to Bavaria, that was so special and lovely to hang out with my three favourite people.
10 – Do you make new year resolutions? Have you made any for 2017?
