Meet a Blogger – Meme and Harri…The Christmas Series!

I am back with another lovely blogger who is taking part in my Christmas series. Who is getting excited for Christmas? I know we are…

This week it’s the lovely Natalie from Meme and Harri. Natalie has two gorgeous girls who remind me a lot of my two girls. Plus she is about to give birth any day now with her third baby and I can’t wait to see what she is going to have to complete her family.

Over to Natalie with her answers to my Christmas questions…

1 – What is your favourite Christmas movie?

Oh it’s a tough one but I think it has to be Home Alone: Lost in New York but I do also love Family Guy with Nicolas Cage (although I am guilty of watching this one all year around!)

2 – What is your favourite Christmas song?

The Pogues – Fairytale of New York without a  doubt. I am one of those annoying people who like to start playing Christmas songs in November.

3 – Do you have any family traditions that you would like to share with us?

We have a few little ones, every year the girls get to go and choose a bauble each for the tree. Also every Christmas Eve we go to a local place called Parkgate and go for some food and have a little walk before heading home and delivering some selection boxes to the kids in our close! (Writing this is making me so excited!!)

4 – What is your favourite childhood memory of Christmas?
One of my favourite memories is every Christmas my Mum and Dad would have to wake me and my sisters up in the morning as we used to always sleep in and my Dad was too excited to wait any longer – they always complained we were the only children in the world that needed waking on Christmas morning. I do actually think Christmas is even more exciting now I am a parent.

5 – How will you be spending Christmas Day?

We spend Christmas morning at home and then spend a hour visiting my husbands parents before driving the 40 minute journey to Liverpool to my parents for Christmas dinner where all my sisters and nieces and nephews are, it gets a little chaotic but I wouldn’t have it any other way.  We stay the night here which allows us to have a drink and relax with my rather large family!!

6 – Do you have any exciting plans leading up to Christmas?

Well I have the excitement of a new baby being due Christmas week!!! We usually do quite a lot of activities in the weeks leading up to Christmas day but this year with me being heavily pregnant we plan to take it as easy as possible.

7 – What are you hoping Father Christmas will bring you?

This may sound really cheesy but all I want for Christmas is my new baby to be born safely and to be home with my girls on Christmas morning to enjoy all of the magic.

8 – If you found some hidden presents, would you peek?

Hmmmm I would try not to but I would be tempted! My husband is fab at presents and I always have lots of surprises on Christmas morning.

9 – What has been your highlight of 2016?

It has been a challenging year but the highlight has to be my final baby being due. Meme settling into year one, Harri coming into herself and all the lovely new friends I have made.

10 – Do you make new year resolutions? Have you made any for 2017?

Yes I make some goals for the new year although I am not great at keeping them. I want to try and enjoy my last baby as much as possible no matter how hard it will be at times, I want to continue to enjoy my blog and maybe be a little more organised with it. I want to spend as much time with Harri before she starts full time education in September. I also want to try and have some time with my husband – we have really neglected each other this year – I think our date nights are averaging every 6 months at the moment. Haha I am not sure if I am asking for too much but we will see…
Thank you Natalie, I really hope you get your wish and have your beautiful baby home with you all for Christmas.

Lovely interview. I’m looking forward to reading about the safe arrival of the new little one soon. Love Natalie’s blog and great to hear she’s a fellow Pogues fan, definitely the best Christmas song!
