What a great month October has been, mainly because we had half term last week and that meant we had the girls home for a week and I always love to have them home with me.
At the start of the year Andy and I decided this year was going to be a year of mini breaks, time away to enjoy as a family. Something which we had avoided doing, apart from our annual family holiday, mainly because Alice was a nightmare when we stayed in hotel rooms all together. But we felt that we were never going to get her used to doing it, if we didn’t do it, if you know what I mean.
Our first trip of the year was glamping in February and we had a brilliant time. Alice was ok on the first night, and by the 3rd night she was amazing. Giving us hope that she would continue to be better at sleeping all together.
We decided instead of having a holiday abroad, we would have a holiday in Cornwall and a few mini breaks throughout the year too. It was the best decision we made and we’ve had some wonderful trips this year.
When we became ambassadors for Merlin Annual Pass, we thought it would be great to have a trip to London in October half term and we booked in back in April. It seemed a long way off then, but it soon arrived and at the start of half term we headed to London on the train. The girls were very excited.
We stayed at the Royal Garden Hotel, which was the perfect location and also a beautiful hotel. We had a wonderful couple of days, visiting the London Eye, Sea Life London and Madame Tussuards, all with our Merlin passes. We had a scoot around Kensington Palace Gardens and it was a great start to half term. I just love it when we’re all together.
We have one more trip this year for my Mum’s birthday and we can’t wait!
My photos this month, were taken earlier in the month when we did our annual trip to Millets Farm to pick our pumpkins. My parents came with us, which meant my Mum was able to take the photos for us and this always makes life a lot easier.
I love our annual pumpkin picking, the girls get so excited and its always a fun day out.
