June you’ve been busy, rainy and sunny! What a month it has been. The summer term is always a busy month at school and with two children now at school, its even busier and lots to remember. Its hard to keep up with what is going on each week and for which child. The girls have had sponsored walks, outdoor explorers, sports day, skipping day and Alice has had swimming with the school. Its been full on and we still have just over 3 weeks until the end of term.
June started with the girls on half term and us on holiday in Devon for a few days. It was really lovely to get away all together and just what we needed. We had days out, evenings on the beach and lots of ice creams. The weather was amazing and it was a great few days.
Sadly the weather didn’t stick around and we had a couple of weeks of lots of rain and miserable weather. We had Fathers Day and because of the weather we took a trip to a nearby town, had a look around, some lunch and a walk in the park. It was lovely. It was then my birthday and the girls always get so excited, way more excited than I do about my birthday. They spoilt me and it was really lovely. I did miss them, when they were at school and I’m so lucky that their birthdays are in the school holidays and I get to spend the day with them.
The sun came back and we had a lovely trip to Legoland with our friends. It was really quiet and we got on so many rides. Legoland is one of our favourites.
We are definitely now counting down the days until the summer holidays arrive. The girls can’t wait and I can’t wait to have them home, even though it is also a bit daunting of having them for 6 weeks and juggling work. But we will make it work!
Our photos this month are from our holiday in Devon and I love them so much. You can see how relaxed and happy we are.
