What a month it’s been for us, a month of a adventures, end of school, end of preschool forever and lots of memories made. It’s been brilliant!
The summer term is always a busy one at school, lots happening, lots to remember and just trying not to drop any balls. It was an emotional rollercoaster, as we saw little Holly say goodbye to preschool forever. I’m not ready for Holly to start school and I’m burying my head in the sand over the summer.
We saw Alice finish year one on a high and it’s been an amazing year for her. She has worked incredibly hard and we couldn’t be prouder of her. I can’t believe she has been at school for two years, I know they say the school years go faster, but that’s just crazy.
We’ve had a few adventures away, with a weekend away to Alton Towers and we started the summer holidays with a trip to Jersey. Which was just amazing, I had several holidays there as a child and it was lovely to go back with my family and make our own memories.
We’ve had the first week of the summer holidays, just me and the girls. We had a nice quiet week to give Alice a chance to rest after a busy end of term and it was just what we all needed.
The girls are loving being together, even if we do have the occasional squabble. I don’t think Holly can believe Alice is home every day. Every morning she asks me ‘what are we doing today Mummy?’, which she asks every single day. When I reply, she then asks ‘Is Alice coming?’, and she gets so excited when I say ‘yes’ every day! It’s just the cutest.
We’re living for the weekends for Andy to join us every week and we’re counting down until his 2 weeks off. Which is going to be amazing. I just love it when we’re all together.
My photos this month were taken in Jersey. We seem to have become the family that love a selfie and I love them. They are always the most fun photos and show us at our best as a family.
