Making The Transition From Nursery to Little Girl’s Room With The Help Of Stickerscape…

In case you missed it, we moved house just before Christmas and once I knew that we would be moving we waited to move Holly from a cot to a bed until the house move was done.

Back in January Holly’s new bedroom furniture arrived and she spent her first night in her big girl bed. It was a bit of an eventful time, with a ride in ambulance, but it all ended well.

With the transition from cot to bed done, it was time to decorate Holly’s room and make it her own. Being two years old I wanted to get the look of her room right. She is sadly no longer a baby and so it’s not a nursery look I wanted. It had to be something that she would love now, but that would also grow with her.

I’ve been working with Stickerscape this year on creating the perfect looks for both the girls rooms. For Alice I went for a fairy theme and she loves it. But, Holly is at an age where she isn’t into one thing, she loves Peppa Pig and they do have a great striker range, but I just couldn’t see her loving it.

When I saw the Woodland themed stickers, I knew they would be perfect for Holly. It is definitely a look that she won’t outgrow for many years.

I adore this bear, I think it’s my favourite one in her room. He just looks very friendly and he is right next to her bed.

Holly loves him too…

…But not as much as these squirrels, I think these are her favourites. She calls them squirrel nutkin from Peter Rabbit!

Then we have Mr Badger and he sits one side of the radiator.

And the other side of the radiator we have Mr Mole. Who is just too cute…

I love how they sit either side of the radiator and make the space look a lot more interesting.

On Holly’s main wall I wanted to have a big statement piece and this tree and animals set was just perfect for the space. The tree and branches came in two pieces and you had to carefully line them up. Then each leave and flower are separate stickers. It did take me a while to do this, as I was quite particular that it had a pattern and not all the leaves that were the same pattern were near each other. It was worth it!

I get so many people comment on it and it really does look like someone has painted it on the wall.

At the bottom of the tree are these cute animals, that really complete the look.

Holly loves them, so much in fact that she wanted to read them a story!

I’m really pleased with the finished look of Holly’s room. I love how the stickers have completely changed the look and feel of the room. And most importantly Holly loves it too. She loves saying goodnight to Mr Bear and still now likes to read to the animals.

Our stickers are from the Woodland Friends range and at the moment Stickerscape are giving their customers a 20% discount and free postage and packing. Head over now to take a look at the complete range.

Disclosure: We are working with Stickerscape and received these stickers in return for an honest review. As always all views and opinions are my own.

I love the woodland theme and it will still be great for Holly when she’s older too. The mole is my favourite!

Oh gosh they are gorgeous! I need to finish painting my girls’ room and I was going to paint some designs freehand on their walls but this looks like it would be much easier!
