I first heard about Sock Ons when Alice was a baby, my friend’s little boy was forever loosing his socks. As quickly as they were put back on, they fell off again. Then one day I noticed he had something on his foot over his sock. These are Sock Ons, replied my friend, when I asked what they were. They are brilliant, they keep his socks on…
At the time I was in the minority that Alice’s socks didn’t fall off, but luckily I stored this information away somewhere in my brain, as fast forward two years later when Holly arrived and her socks never stayed on. After a quick trip to the shop to buy some Sock Ons, I never had to worry about her socks falling off again. They are a genius invention!
So, when the lovely lady that invented the brilliant Sock Ons, got in touch to ask if I wanted to try her latest product Mocc Ons I was excited and quickly said yes. I didn’t realise they did other products and couldn’t wait for it to arrive.
When I pulled them out of the packet, I instantly loved how cute they looked and how adorable Holly was going to look in them. The fact they look like ballerina shoes, was even more perfect.
Holly was intrigued when I first put them on and kept looking at them. But, then she was off playing and it was difficult to keep her still to take some photos. I took this as a good sign and that they must be comfortable, otherwise she would have been pulling them straight off.
They are a lovely soft and stretchy cotton fabric and even after Holly climbing on and off the sofa the sock part didn’t fall down.
Six months ago we had a wooden floor put down in the main living area in our house and Holly, who is now quick on her feet, loves to run around and can sometimes slip over. There was no way she was going to slip over in her new Mocc Ons. The real leather sole that is stitched to the sock part, stops her from slipping and sliding, which can only be a good thing.
The detail on them is gorgeous, just look at those cute bows on the back…
I am sure that Holly is like most children, if she doesn’t like something she soon lets you know about it or just takes it off. Well, she did not want to take these off and stayed in them all day.
I wondered if it would be a novelty thing, but no, when we come home she looks for her Mocc Ons and points for me to put them on. I take this as a thumbs up from Holly.
Plus, one of the best bits for us parents is that they are completely washable!
Now, if you thinking that your little one wouldn’t suit the Ballerina Mocc Ons, then don’t worry they have other cute designs. The range includes Cowboy and Cowgirl Mocc Ons, a sneaker range that come in various colours and a designer range. They come in a range of sizes from six months to three years, why not head over to their site to take a look.
Disclosure: I received the Mocc Ons for the purpose of this review, however all opinions are my own.
