Love is in the Air…The Ordinary Moments

Love is in the Air…The Ordinary Moments

Ok, so I can’t really say that our wedding anniversary is an ordinary moment and what my wonderful husband has planned for us, is most definitely not ordinary. I am cheating a bit, because I will be honest he has gone all out this year…

Last week Andy told me what he had planned for our wedding anniversary which is tomorrow (or today when you are reading this). It will be our sixth wedding anniversary and until now we’ve never done anything big to celebrate it. So, when he told me we were going away for the night, I was surprised and excited.

Much to his annoyance I guessed where we were going!

Because, there really is only one place that is perfect for a night away. The place we spent our ‘mini moon’, the beautiful city of Bath… We went there for a couple of days after our wedding day because we weren’t going on our honeymoon until Boxing Day.

I can’t wait to go back and spend some time with the man that keeps me together. Andy is a brilliant husband and I would be lost without him. He does everything he can for our family and its a big responsibility on his shoulders. But, he never shows it. He is calm and laid-back, which is the total opposite to me. I get anxious a lot and he is the voice of reason in my head.

We don’t get much time together just the two of us, which to be honest suits us, we love being all together as a family. I feel complete when its the four of us. But, I am looking forward to being the couple that met and fell in love. To remember where it all started six years ago in Bath.

We have three hours booked at The Bath Spa and I am looking forward to relaxing in their roof top pool. Then we will have a wonder around beautiful Bath. We are staying at the same hotel that we stated at six years ago and Andy has somewhere booked for dinner, the only part I haven’t been told yet.

I am so excited!

I am off to pack my bag and to try not to think about leaving the girls. Who are very excited about their sleepover at nan and grandad’s house.

I love a love story and finding out how couples met and I thought over the next few weeks I would share with you the story of how Andy and I met. So, watch out for those posts coming soon.

  1. Oh WOW what a lovely treat (my eyes glazed over at the idea of three hours at a spa!!) Bath is sigh a beautiful spot too, to me it’s where I went maternity clothes shopping with my mum and I loved it so much we went as a family two children later! Happy Anniversary to you both and I hope you have a wonderful time!!

Oh that’s so lovely, it will be brilliant for you to have some time together. I struggle a bit with leaving my girls, they’ve never stayed with anyone else so we’ve never done anything like this. It would be nice to have some time on my own with my husband. I hope you have an amazing time in Bath, such a beautiful place.

    What a nice anniversary gift!!

A spa treatment sounds right up my street. It is so important to have “couple time” even if just once a month.

I hope you both enjoy yourselves and look forward to reading all about it!
