“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

by Kahlil Gibran

It is nearly 2 years since we moved into our home and with the girls now both at school I have a bit more time to get things done in the house. I really wanted to change Alice’s bedroom, her bed got slightly damaged in the move and we really needed to get it changed.

Alice decided she no longer wanted a cabin bed and to have a normal single bed, which meant I could change the layout of her room. Plus we could now fit in a desk, which I knew she would just love and I was right.

Andy built it on Friday night and on Saturday she couldn’t wait to sit at it and do some colouring, writing and just about everything else.

Holly was desperate for a desk too, of course she wants everything Alice has! So, we moved my old dressing table into her room and it looks like a desk to her and she loves that it has a mirror when you left the lid up 🙂

It was no surprise to go into her room to find her also writing at her desk. I don’t imagine at this age, that either of them will spend large amounts of time in their rooms on their own. But already they love to play teachers in Alice’s room and I know they will grow with them.

Sounds like they love their new desks! I can’t wait to move and have a desk in my bedroom haha!

E still has a cabin bed and I keep thinking about when we change it… I considered another cabin bed type thing with a desk but then thought no – I want her to have a desk. This is EXACTLY what I’d like for E to have when she is older. Beautiful!

Aww, these are so cute! Neither of mine do anything except sleep in their bedroom at the moment but I’m sure it won’t be too long before they want to spend more time in there 🙂 #LivingArrows

I would love to have the space for desks in the children’s rooms, it’s so lovely for them to have their own creative space x

Haha, they always want what the other one has got don’t they! Alice seems so grown up sitting at her desk in that photo, it looks like a really lovely space for her to write/draw. x #LivingArrows

The dressing up table makes a perfect desk! I remember loving my own desk when I was little x#livingarrows

Aww that’s so lovely! I use to love my desk when I was little. It’s so sweet that Holly wants to copy Alice. We don’t have that yet. Xx #livingarrows
