“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

by Kahlil Gibran

Of course the only photos I could share for this week of the girls were our back to school ones. The day finally arrived on Wednesday and I could no longer deny that my little Holly was joining Alice at school. She was SO excited to be going and to be ‘just like Alice’. And Alice couldn’t wait to be a year two and head of the Infants.

Seeing and listening to the two of them in the morning was just the cutest. Alice was telling Holly she would show her where her peg was and Holly asked her if they had toilets. All the important questions.

When it was time to leave and seeing Holly walking down the road in her dress and holding Andy’s hand, she looked so little and I wanted to scream ‘you can’t have her’. But of course I had to swallow the tears, put on my biggest smile and take my little girl into school.

Alice went in happily and Holly was a champion too, sitting on the mat and waving me goodbye. She is only on half days, but that was the longest 3 hours of my life. She came our full of smiles and back into my arms.

When we went back to get Alice, who had a brilliant first day. We headed for a first day hot chocolate and cake.

They are little beauties, looking so smart in their uniforms. I had to hold back the tears when dropping off our little monkey at Preschool for her first day last week! They grow up so quickly #livingarrows xx

Oh they look so cute in their uniforms. I hope she’s enjoying school – it can be so tiring for them. #LivingArrows
