“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

by Kahlil Gibran

It was Andy’s second week off work last week and we will miss him when he goes back on Tuesday, it feels like he has been off for ages. We had a lovely week together, with a trip to Legoland for Alice’s birthday treat. We went to Beaulieu for the first time with the girls and of course we had our little Holly’s 4th birthday. We spent her birthday at Paulton’s Park and she had the best day.

We also had a couple of days at home, where the girls got to play with their toys, scoot to the park and have some much needed quieter time too.

I have so many photos from our adventures last week that I could’ve used for this post. But I love this photo of them so much. I always buy them ‘I am’ pyjamas for their birthdays and because their birthdays are at the end of the summer I buy the winter versions. But it was a bit cooler over the weekend and they couldn’t wait to wear them.

Alice asked me to take a photo of them and I love it. It’s these simple moments, where pyjamas make them smile just as much as a big day out, that I want to remember too.

This is such a lovely photo, and I agree with you that it’s these little moments that quite often mean the most and are the ones we really want to remember. Hope Holly had a really lovely birthday. x #LivingArrows
