“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
by Kahlil Gibran
Last week we had our family holiday to Cornwall, it was a holiday we had all been looking forward to. We had Alice’s birthday while we were there and she had a brilliant day. Until the evening when we took a turn for the worse and we ended up in hospital. We then a couple of days with Alice in bed, which was not what we wanted for our holiday.
Thankfully she got better and we had two more days left to make the most of our holiday together. One place we really wanted to go to was Lands End. It was great to visit it, even though I was a bit disappointed to see that to have a photo by the famous sign you had to pay for a professional photographer to take the photo!
I managed to snap this one of Alice during the swap over of families and I can’t tell you how lovely it was to see my smiley happy Alice back after feeling so unwell.
On Alice’s birthday we went to St Michaels Mount, a beautiful National Trust castle that you reach by walking across the beach when the tide is out. Which was great fun and added to the adventure.
Holly loved sitting on the cannon’s at the top of the castle and pretended that she was driving them!
