Living Arrows 33/52

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

by Kahlil Gibran

Raise the klaxon chicken pox has left our house! Towards the end of last week the girls and I had a day out just the three of us. We went to The Vyne, National Trust which has a great play area. The girls spend ages running through these tunnels and they were so dirty from all the dust. But that’s what being a child is all about and I have to remind myself that its only dirt and doesn’t matter.

It was Alice’s fourth birthday at the weekend and the girls had a joint party, as we have Holly’s birthday next week. Alice and I headed over to the hall to get it ready and we arrived a bit early. Luckily it’s next to a brilliant park and Alice happily played while we waited. Alice can now get round the park without any help from me, mastering it all.

I love that photo of Holly in the tunnel, it looks like a really long tunnel and it always makes me laugh how little ones just stroll through the tunnel when everyone else has to crawl!
