“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
by Kahlil Gibran
What I love about the summer holidays, is that with six weeks off it gives you time to catch up with friends. Life is busy, but it’s lovely to make the time to see the friends in your life and we’ve definitely been doing that this summer.
My beautiful friend Laura and I have been planning our summer meet up with our children for a while. Getting a date in the calendar that we could both do around our holidays and all the birthdays I have. All we needed to do was sort a place to meet. Then as if by fate we were both invited to an event in Bournemouth and we knew this was the perfect chance to get together.
We had the best day! We went on the Ferris Wheel, we did mini golf which let me tell you is the most hilarious thing to do with 5 children and also the most frustrating thing to do! All day long we heard laughter, little chats and new friendships being built.
It’s pretty amazing to watch your children become friends with your friends children. Alice and Eva were kindered spirits and Holly, Megan and Harry were thick as thieves. Holly and Megan held hands all day long and Holly gave Harry a flower which was the cutest.
To say they had the best day is an understatement and we’re already planning our next trip to see them.
