“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

by Kahlil Gibran

One of the things that I love about blogging and that was also unexpected is the friendships I’ve made. I’ve met Lara lots of times and she is one of the loveliest people and we’ve become good friends.

Back in June we were on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship together and it was a chance for our husbands and children to meet. The men hit it off immediately, which was great and our four children had great fun playing together.

We booked a date in the holidays to meet up with the children and last week we headed to a local National Trust for a picnic and a play. It was a brilliant day, the children all played so well together and Lara and even managed to chat. Sitting on the picnic blanket while the four of them were playing Mum’s & Dad’s, it was just the cutest.

All the way home, they girls were asking when they will see them again. Always a sign of a good day out.

Oh this sounds like just the loveliest day! It’s so nice when they get to an age where they can just play happily – especially with friends to entertain them x
