Living Arrows 24/52

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

by Kahlil Gibran

Summer finally arrived last week and we had some lovely days outside. We took a trip to one of our favourite places, Wellington Country Park, there is so much to do and this year they have added a splash pad which Alice loved a lot.

My picture this week was recreating a moment from two years ago. Alice was twenty two months old and I was heavily pregnant with Holly, we had gone there on Fathers’ Day. Alice and Andy had so much fun together and I just love this photo that I took of them.

Here is the picture from June 2014:

And here is the picture from this week two years later…

Holly is now twenty two months, the age Alice was in the first photo. These pictures pretty much sum up how different my girls are. Alice sits nicely for a photo and Holly…..Well Holly is just Holly! My funny adorable little girl, who thinks its more fun to stand on the seat or jump at daddy.

We haven’t been to Wellington yet this year and didn’t realise there was a splash pad – we’ll definitely take the kids there in the summer! Looks like a lovely day x
