“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

by Kahlil Gibran

This week Alice had her first school trip and I went along to help out. I’ll admit that not only did I go along because the school needed volunteers, but I also went along because I’m not sure how I would have coped knowing she was on there without me.

Whilst I was packing Alice’s backpack for her trip, Holly went and got her’s and said ‘And me’. So, we packed her backpack too, as she was going to my parents for the day. My mum sent me this picture at the garden centre they were at and as you can see the backpack had to be worn everywhere she went. To be ‘just like Alice’.

This week at school Alice received a certificate from the headteacher and we went into her assembly to see her receive it. As a well done treat we took her out for dinner and that is where my photo is from for this week. She looks far too grown up for my liking and I love her smile, so natural.
