“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

by Kahlil Gibran

On Saturday the girls and I spent the day with my parents. We had a great time and we had a trip to the park. It was a bit of grey and windy day, but it was nice to get some fresh air and a run about. The girls wanted to go on one of those swing things and I had the fun job of running round and round pushing them.

I don’t really like me in this picture, but I just love the joy on Holly’s face I had to include it for this week’s Living Arrows. Because this is childhood right there…and parenthood!

And this is Alice on the other side, I just loved hearing their laughter. It made me running round worth it!

I love pictures that show the excitement and joy of children, they are so beautiful in their innocence! I wish I could be young and free again!

Aww they looked like there were having a lot of fun. Sometimes you just need to escape the house, even on a grey and miserable day. Having said that, it is raining where I live and I have the school run later!

Aww that’s gorgeous photo! I hate me in most photos which is why I’m not in baby. I know what you mean about the laughter! Suddenly I can’t remember through last time we went to the park! Really should make the effort to go after school now the weathers changed! #LivingArrows xx
