Living Arrows 10/52 {2019}

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

by Kahlil Gibran

Last week was World Book Day which is always an exciting day in our house. Alice especially gets so excited about it and decides who she wants to be months in advance. Which is handy to give me time to get organised, but it also means she gets very over excited about it all.

Holly originally wanted to go as Alice in Wonderland, because she wanted to be Alice too, which was very cute. We already had the costume and I thought we were all sorted. Then she decided a couple of days before that she no longer wanted to be Alice in Wonderland and she was just going to go in her uniform. We talked about it and she said I just want to wear my pirate costume. When I told she could, she was SO happy.

I give you Veruca Salt and Pirate Polly!

    I cannot wait until Iris is old enough to take part in World Book Day! I loved it so much when I was at school x

    What cute photos of the two of them – I love that she wanted to be an Alice too! Very impressed with Veruca Salt, I love seeing all of the world book day outfits, it’s so nice to see which characters capture their imaginations the most!

    Ah I love their costumes! I’m gutted ours didn’t dress up this year, it would have been a lot easier than the book in a box saga!

    Aww, they both look fab! If I had that pirate costume I think I’d want to wear it for school too! #LivingArrows

    They look fabulous in their costumes. I am glad you managed to agree on what Holly should wear.
