Living Arrows 02/52 {2019}

Last week it was back to normal for us and the girls went back to school. Not all Alice’s after school activities have started back yet, which was nice to have a gentle start back into things.

On Thursday Alice had Victorian Day at school, as they are learning all about the Victorian time at school this term. She has been so excited to wear her costume, because she loved a long skirt, the sash and the hat. She loved it all! They had to write in chalk all day, when someone entered the room they all had to stand up and at lunchtime they weren’t allowed to leave the table until everyone had finished. It was good for them to experience what life was like for children back then.

This weekend we had a relaxed one and on Saturday Holly really didn’t want to do anything. I forget how tired they get in this first year of school. I love this photo of her relaxed, its not often she stays still!

    Love that black and white shot of Holly! And Alice looks so good in her costume, sounds like it was a really interesting day at school for her. x #LivingArrows

    Alice’s Victorian Day outfit is great; immersive days like that at school were always fun. And the photo of Holly is definitely a treasure!

    That’s a great idea for a day in school, I think children need to understand how much times have changed and how lucky they are. I find the first full week back after the holidays are always tiring.

    Aww, I love Alice’s costume! Toby and Gabe were both tired this weekend too, it definitely takes it out of them going back to school. Holly looks very chilled there though 🙂 #LivingArrows

    That Victorian day sounds wonderful – I would have loved that when I was at school! The first year really does tire them out, sometimes a weekend of just quiet time is all they need x

    I love the idea of Victorian day at school. I’m not sure Monkey would manage to write in chalk all day. She looks brilliant in her outfit. We’ve had a couple of much needed chilled weekends. I just don’t have the energy either this time of year x
