This year I am joining in with Stevie’s Liked and Loved linky. It’s a chance for me to look back at the month and share with you what I’ve liked and loved.
June has been lovely month and it really has whizzed by and I can’t believe I’m writing this post already.
Here is what I liked and loved in June…
With Alice now at school I live for the school holidays, to have both my girls home with me all day. To have no routine and do our own thing is when I’m at my best. We had a fairly relaxed half term, with visits to my parents, a trip to a National Trust and it ended with a trip to the cinema. It really was the best week and the girls loved being with each other everyday. I’m now on countdown to the summer holidays.
One of the best things that blogging has given me, is the friends that I’ve met. I’m really lucky to have the lovely Donna not too far away and we’ve been meeting up regularly for nearly a year now. We’ve found a Costa about half way between us and we meet for coffee, cake and a good old chat. It can be lonely in the blogging world, siting at home on your own and so this is really lovely that we can do this. We now make sure we book the next one straight in and it’s something that I look forward to each time.
Family Day Out
We’re lucky to have my brother and his family nearby and we had a lovely day out with them at Manydown Farm. The girls all played really well together and the weather was kind to us. My girls love their cousin and it’s really nice to see the three of them together. They are more like siblings, than cousins really.
I’ve loved Take That since the very beginning and first went to see them when I was younger and my dad took my friend and I. I don’t think I’ve missed a tour yet. This time they were playing around when my birthday is and Andy booked tickets for us to go. It was lovely for us to be able to spend time together and you forget how brilliant it is listening to live music. There is really some uplifting about it. Spending a few hours dancing and singing is definitely good for the soul.
It was my birthday this month and it fell the day after Father’s Day. So, this year we had a family out with my brother and his family and my parents too. It was really lovely and very hot! Birthday’s are never quite the same as you get older and I think that Alice was more excited than me. My wonderful cousin made me the best cake and I’m still making my way through all the sweets.
Andy has been wanting to take the girls camping forever and we finally had our first camping trip last weekend. We were meant to go last year, but Alice got chicken pox and we couldn’t go. We have had all an equipment waiting to be used and Alice desperate to finally get to go. We went with a group of friends and we had the best time. The girls loved it and the weather was just right for camping. I think this will now become part of our lives.
July see’s the countdown to the summer holidays and I can’t wait to have both my girls home for six weeks…
